Good solid weight, nicely distributed to give the ring an even weight so that it will not spin. There is nothing worse than a top heavy ring that constantly spins, or flip flops back and forth. A good weighty ring should be balanced so that it stays in place. The inside of the shank is solid to increase the comfort level of the ring. The beauty of the Gemstone presented in the heavy 14K gold should be the feature that reminds you that it is there, not the awkward flip flopping of an unbalanced ring.
I have tried to match a good weight with a nice sized gemstone, not too big, yet not so small. The center stone is shown loose in the images so that I can safely set it in the ring that is made to order, in your size, and what ever gold color you choose.When setting the gemstone I will make sure that it is set low into the ring and even with the bezel edges to help protect the top of the stone from glancing blows which is the number one cause of damage to gemstones. The last image will show you how the stone will be fully set. I will also set the stone deep into the bezel, as shown in the example provided in the last image. In this ring I have set a very fine well cut gemstone. This ring is shown in 14k yellow gold and is also available in 14K White, 14K Rose and 14K green gold.
Each of these rings is made to order so there will be slight variations to the finished piece, but only to the overall corners and slopes of the ring. The primary look of the ring in the images will always be consistent. High thick raised bezel, solid shank between 7 to 8mm wide, and of course the final gold weight which will be close to 18-20 grams.
The thickness of the shank shall be no less than 2mm. This might vary a little depending on the ring size you order. The ring in the images is shown in a size 10. This ring is available in all sizes from a low of 7 to a high of 12.
Please note that the center stone has not been fully set (slightly loose). This allows us to resize, or perhaps recast the gold in a different color without risking damage to the stone.
